The Rotary Club of East Palo Alto Bayshore was chartered on August 25, 1965. In 2015, we celebrated our 50th Anniversary.
Originally, we were known as the “Bayshore Rotary” which was later changed to the “Rotary Club of East Palo Alto Bayshore” to reflect the city and surrounding communities we served. We are a group of dedicated members from all walks of life that enjoy fellowship and “service above self”.
If you are interested in fun, fellowship, and community projects, please contact us to attend one of our meetings.
While there are over 50 committees active in our club, these committees deserve special attention due to their popularity or need for access.
There are many other committees. Look under the various Avenues of Service for a list of opportunities to serve our club, our community, and our world. https://portal.clubrunner.ca/4000/sitepage/special-committees
Hats off to a remarkable era: Claus for a Cause, Plein Air Fine Art, Lighting for Literacy.
Was it just yesterday that we learned to cook live lobsters and feed over 1,200 guests? That we housed and showcased nationally acclaimed plein air artists? With a mission to increase literacy, we assembled, shipped, and installed solar lights to global villages living off the grid. We were at the forefront of introducing STEM into K–12 classrooms.
In Guatemala, we teamed with physicians to improve the lives of hundreds of children born with cleft palate.
We’ve funded scholarships, Rotary leadership training, and music and arts programs—Jazz on the Plazz, the ArtNow-NUMU Teen Art Competition, the Boys and Girl Scouts, Los Gatos Band Boosters, Art Docents of Los Gatos, Montalvo Art Center, Santa Clara Sea Scouts, and the Teen Enterprise Leadership Conference. We’ve shared a glimpse of the change that can occur when like-minded people come together to make a difference.
The Rotary International Theme for this year is “Unite For Good,” and our local Club Theme is “Our Rotary Family Cares.” We are planning many service projects including food drives, community work days, youth scholarships and community grants, just to name a few. And we have planned some great social events such as dinners, theme parties, golf tournament, sporting events, and way more. There is always plenty to do in Mountain View Rotary and never a dull moment!
These are ongoing efforts that engage a large portion of our members. They reflect the club’s deep, sustained commitment to service and community impact. While addressing local community needs, our signature projects bring members together to make a meaningful, lasting difference. Over the years, some of these efforts have grown and evolved into Club Causes of their own: https://www.paloaltouniversityrotaryclub.com/ways-we-serve/community

Founded in 2015 by visionary community leaders, our club was established to recognize and support the vital role of Chinese-speaking young professionals in enriching the social fabric. These individuals bring fresh perspectives, dynamic energy, and meaningful contributions to the local community. As the first Mandarin-speaking club in the United States, we are proud to lead the way in fostering connections and cultural exchange
Our club members are dedicated people who share a passion for both community service and friendship. Becoming a Rotarian connects you with a diverse group of professionals who share your drive to give back. Our club accepts new members by invitation.
